Ursuline Student Conference 2011
Our school is part of a much bigger Ursuline Community. In July, four of our Year 7s and two of our Year 10 students were given the opportunity to take part in an Ursuline Students Conference. This was a fantastic chance for the Year 9s to develop further their leadership skills as they were in charge of their own groups of younger students and it gave the Year 7s a deeper understanding of what makes the Ursuline Schools so unique. |

An introduction to Mark’s Gospel: The Background to Mark and Jesus’ Ministry |
|
Key Stage 4
As a Catholic School, RE GCSE is compulsory for all students. We follow AQA’s Religious Studies Specification A, units 5 Mark’s Gospel and 2 Moral Issues. It is a challenging course and one in which students perform well with 85% attaining A*-C and 51% A*-A. The GCSE is assessed by 2 exams – one on Mark’s Gospel, which will be sat in the Summer Term of Year 10, and one on Moral Issues, which will be sat in the Summer Term of Year 11. Each paper is worth 50% of the GCSE.
