Meet our Junior Leadership Team (JLT)

2025/2026

Head Prefect

Gaile Quemuel

Hello, my name is Gaile Quemuel, and it is an honour to serve as Head Student this year.  I am proud to represent a community that has shaped me into the person I am today, from the heartfelt support and encouragement of our staff, to the strength of our tight knit student community.  Since joining the school in Year 7, I have grown in ways I never imagined possible.  The opportunities I've been given, the friendships I've built, and the challenges I've faced have each played a part in helping me discover strengths and passions I didn't know I had.  Our Ursuline values are not just words we speak, but principle that have woven themselves into my daily life, guiding me both inside school and outside of school. As Head Student, my goal is to give back to this school tenfold the support it has given me.  I am to continue building on the legacy of service, faith, and excellence that makes our Ursuline community so special, leaving behind something meaningful for future generations of students.

Deputy Head Prefects

Chioma Sobieri

Hello, my name is Chioma Sobieri, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to serve as Deputy Head Prefect at St Ursula’s Convent School. My time in St Ursula's has not only encouraged me to aim high and consistently pursue personal and academic growth, but has also nurtured within me a strong sense of community, compassion, and responsibility from taking part in various school endeavours such as extracurricular clubs, volunteer work and leadership opportunities to supporting younger students both formally and informally. These experiences have taught me the true value of teamwork, resilience, and leading by example, and even when challenges arise, I have learned that leadership is not about holding a title, but about being consistent, dependable, and uplifting those around you. Because of this, I have developed a deeper understanding of what it means to serve others and work collaboratively for the good of the wider school community. As Deputy Head Prefect, I aim to be a positive role model, a voice for my peers, and a bridge between students and staff. Most importantly, I want to lead with kindness, integrity, and humility ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard, so that we can continue to grow together full of compassion and unity.

Assunta Marino

Hello! My name is Assunta Marino, and I’m currently serving as Deputy Head at St Ursula’s. My goal is to continue supporting the school as we move forward on our journey of recovery and growth. By strengthening the way we listen to and act upon student voices, we have been able to make real progress both within the school and in how we engage with the wider community—ultimately creating a richer, more positive experience for your child. Throughout my life, I have always valued the importance of speaking up, standing for what I believe in, and encouraging others to do the same. Leadership has always come naturally to me, and I take pride in being a supportive figure for my peers, colleagues, and students alike. I look forward to continuing this work with dedication, care, and a strong vision for the future of St Ursula’s.

Senior Prefects

Angel Nwolisa

My name is Angel Nwolisa, and I am highly grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve as Senior Prefect this year. Throughout my time here at St Ursula’s, I believe I have grown in confidence, resilience, and faith, which are guided by the encouragement of teachers, uplifted by the friendships I have built, and strengthened by the values that define our Ursuline community. These experiences, as well as enabling me to develop into a mature student, have also instilled in me the values of perseverance, compassion, and selflessness. As a student at St Ursula’s, I have experienced an immense spirit of community and belonging. This environment encourages us to embrace ourselves and others, knowing that we are not alone in any situation. It has highlighted for me a key value: the assurance that, no matter the circumstances, we stand tall together, united in harmony. It is a community where everyone feels empowered and confident to share ideas, give feedback, and respect one another. This collective identity and pride is what I would like to strengthen here at St Ursula's Convent School as Senior Prefect. As Senior Prefect, my goal is to actively listen, encourage, and work alongside both students and staff, ensuring that every voice is valued and every achievement is recognised. I will walk beside every student, inspiring each person to value their worth and achieve their potential, creating an environment where everyone feels motivated to grow and thrive.

Ella Jasmine Bondzie

Hello, my name is Ella Jasmine Bondzie, and I am so grateful to know that this year I will be able to help and serve my school as Senior Prefect. As I have been a student at this school for five years, I have seen so much positive change, and I am so pleased to know that I am going to be part of this next chapter, alongside the rest of our team, as we work to do our very best this year. During my time at St Ursula’s, I have truly developed as a person in so many different ways. I don’t think my Year 7 self would ever have imagined that, five years later, I would be in this position—having the strength to put myself forward, to volunteer, and to lead. All of these experiences have shaped me into who I am today and have given me the resilience to face challenges with confidence. As Senior Prefect, I want to make sure that this year we are able to achieve even more as a school. I hope to contribute to positive change and to be a source of support for all of my peers in a kind, respectful, and helpful way. I want everyone to feel heard and to feel the impact of the changes we work towards together.

Destanee Adio-Weathers

Hi, my name is Destanee Adio-Weathers and I am extremely delighted to have the honour to serve my school this year as Senior Prefect! For the time I have been at St Ursula’s, I had been trying to figure out who exactly I wanted to be and with the help of the community, I was able to step out of my comfort and find peace in my peers and teachers. I haven’t always felt as confident as I do today and I have St Ursula’s to thank for that. Due to the school’s nurturing nature, I am able to speak with poise, meet incredible people and feel proud about the school I attend.

As Senior Prefect, I plan to be a safe space for everyone in St Ursula’s. I hope to help my peers find their voice and shape them into the people everyone will be proud of!
