INITIAL RESPONSE TO THE PRIME MINISTER’S ADDRESS ON SUNDAY, 10 MAY 2020

Many of you will have watched the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Sunday evening and, like us, we are sure you have many questions. As a school we are waiting to receive more guidance from the government. In the short term nothing has changed with regards to the opening of secondary schools.

The government believes it may be in a position to implement a phased re-opening of schools from 1 June 2020, starting with pupils in reception, year one and year six, and then perhaps year 10 and year 12 just before the summer 2020 break.

This is part of the government’s conditional plan which it says will remain under regular review.

In the meantime, work / activities will continue to be set via Show My Homework and Form Tutors will also continue to make contact with our families. We would be grateful if you could ensure that your daughter responds to any messages on Show My Homework. Email correspondence will continue to be sent from admin@stursulas.com.

We appreciate that this is a stressful and challenging time for everyone. We would like to thank parents and carers for all of their wonderful support. We would also like to draw your attention to the following wellbeing resources we have shared since lockdown:
