Continuing Professional Development NPQML and NPQSL

St Ursula’s, in collaboration with the Institute of Education and the Leadership CoLab, is delivering the NPQML and NPQSL – the new National College range of national qualifications.

Deadline for applications to both programmes is 23.59 on Friday 13th October 2017 . Courses starting early November.

 NPQML:  for those who are, or are aspiring to become a middle leader with responsibility for leading a team
 NPQSL: for those who are, or are aspiring to become a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities

Course costs have not been confirmed but in the region of ML £795 and SL £995.

Initial Teacher Training

St. Ursula’s is a hub secondary school for School Direct within the Royal Greenwich Teaching School Alliance

As an outstanding school, we are committed to training teachers. All our teaching staff have received Stage 1 Mentoring Accreditation.
All our subject departments are involved in ITT through:

  • PGCE teaching placements from Goldsmiths University and University of Greenwich
  • Subject mentoring
  • Visits to departments from prospective PGCE applicants
  • Delivery of St. Ursula’s professional studies programme

MFL PGCE programme

St. Ursula’s is working in partnership with the University of Greenwich in delivering a school-led MFL PGCE programme.

Subject knowledge days are planned and delivered by St. Ursula’s subject specific teachers. The professional studies element of the PGCE is delivered at the University of Greenwich. Interviews for places on this PGCE are held at St. Ursula’s School
