Summer Results 2025
St Ursula's Convent School delivers spectacular set of GCSE results.
• We are pleased to announce our 2025 GCSE results. Headteacher Mark O'Shaughnessy said, "I couldn’t be more proud of this incredible group of young people. It has been amazing to see their smiles as they opened up their results today. Our students have not only excelled academically but leave us today as Serviam leaders, ready to make a positive impact on the world.”
• “A massive thank you goes out to our wonderful staff, who have worked tirelessly with our students. We also extend our gratitude to parents for their support at home, and of course, to our governors for their invaluable guidance. We are confident that our students will go on to achieve in whatever path they have chosen next, whether it be sixth form, college, or apprenticeships.”
• Our results were exceptionally strong across the board, and some individual subject areas shone. In English, 90% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above (84% a Grade 5+), with 46% of students achieving a Grade 7 or above. The Science Department secured an average of a Grade 7 in separate sciences. 23% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above in Mathematics.
• Standout results from other subject areas include: the Spanish department with 90% of students achieving a Grade 4 or above, 88% a Grade 5 or above, and 50% of students being awarded Grade 7 or above. The Geography Department also achieved 90% Grade 4 or above, 68% Grade 5 or above, and 30% of students achieved a Grade 7 or above. The Art Department achieved 89% Grade 4+, 72% Grade 5+ and 44% Grade 7+. In Computer Science, 81% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above with 1 in 5 of these grades being a Grade 7 or above.
• Some of our individual students who performed particularly well include Angel, who achieved 11 GCSEs including 9 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s. Fiyinfoluwa achieved 10 GCSEs including 7 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 7. Fiamma achieved 11 GCSEs including 6 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s and 1 Grade 6. The following students also achieved 5 Grade 9s: Anna-Belle, Jemima and Lwiza.
• Angel said, “I’m so grateful for my results and that all the hard work has paid off! I’m very thankful to my parents and sisters who have supported me. I want to thank my teachers, who have been with me every step of the way, and have helped to make this possible. ”
• Fiyinfoluwa said, “I am completely ecstatic and overwhelmed. I would like to thank my teachers for their support and for believing in me. I’d also like to thank my parents for ensuring that I had everything I needed to succeed’.
