COVID-19 update 14-05-20

Posted on 15th May, 2020

Dear Parent / Carers
I hope you and your families remain safe and well.
A big thank you to all the Key Stage three girls who took the time to write a letter of support to the NHS workers at Kings College Hospital. I know they will be delighted to receive them and grateful that we are all supporting them in their amazing work.

There continues to be much speculation over the opening of schools. We are all following the news reports but as yet there is nothing conclusive. Various dates have been suggested but we have not been given anything definite from the government yet.

Due to the fact that the lockdown is continuing for longer than we originally anticipated, as of next week we will be making contact with all families by telephone. This is for wellbeing purposes and to ensure that our girls are supported. Please do encourage your daughter to talk to the member of staff who calls and please do take the opportunity yourself to talk to whoever calls. The teacher calling may not necessarily be your daughters Form Tutor but will be the member of staff allocated to making those calls on that day. The days we have allocated are Monday and Wednesday. You will recognize the school number. In just a few cases the member of staff may ring from a mobile. If you are not available we will leave a voicemail and try again at a later time.

Father Kevin has made a video for everyone to watch and it can be found on our website. The Ursuline sisters are being kept informed of what we are doing and they are keeping you all in their daily prayers.
Please do contact school if we can help or support in any way. admin@stursulas.com

Please continue to stay safe and well. We will give updates regarding returning to school as we get them.

Yours sincerely
