OFSTED Section 48

School Chaplain

The School has a Chaplain. Her role is to guide and support the spiritual needs of the school community by encouraging the school’s pastoral care for the whole school, pupils, staff and parents.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

During Advent and Lent all pupils and staff are given the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Weekly Mass

Mass takes place in the school Chapel every Friday morning at 8.00am. This Mass is an opportunity to pray for any members of our school community

Key Stage 3 pupils also attend the Parish Mass on a rota basis taking a full and active part in the service.

Retreats

Year 7 and year 8 have a day of retreat in School facilitated by outside providers.

Opportunities for day and residential retreats are very important for our students to experience various styles of prayer that are relevant and attractive for their age group. This experience enables them to develop their own spirituality and unique way of relating to God.

Ursuline Links

St Ursula’s as an Ursuline School has strong links to the worldwide network of Ursuline Schools. We regularly link with other local and international Ursuline Schools sharing our faith, learning and experiences.
